Like most Industry Associations SPASA provides a range of benefits for its members. It is governed by an annually elected Board of up to 12 members, who meet monthly to discuss industry issues. SPASA also provides:-

SPASA members have industry representation in many Federal and State government forums. SPASA liaises with government on any legislation that affects our industry. SPASA also sits on a number of Standards Australia review committees and have longstanding involvement Government liaison e.g. NSW Office of Fair Trading; NSW Department of Planning; Consumer Tenancy and Trade Tribunal; Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) and others. SPASA has been active in influencing laws and regulations that determine how our industry is governed since its inception.

SPASA has developed Concrete, Fibreglass and Preliminary Contracts to meet your business needs. Moreover, SPASA has created a Pool and Spa Handover Book which can be provided to consumers at the end of any construction phase. SPASA contracts not only provide members with a sound legal document which can be relied upon but also provide peace of mind to your customer.

The SPASA NSW Industry Trade Expo is now recognised as a “must attend” event on the industry calendar. The NSW Industry Trade Expo is by far the largest and most successful in the country and provides member exhibitors extensive sales prospects at discounted event rates.

SPASA NSW is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides Training and Assessment to the swimming pool and spa industry in Australia. SPASA NSW courses are highly valued and sought after by industry employers and the wider community. In addition to formal training, SPASA NSW provides the most comprehensive CPD Points opportunities throughout the year at little or no cost to members.

SPASA NSW holds numerous functions annually which include: Bob Stanley Memorial Golf Day, Gala Dinner, Children’s Christmas Fun Day, General and Annual General Member Meetings.

SPASA NSW holds frequent Sector Meetings giving individual sectors the opportunity to raise and exchange ideas in an environment of likeminded individuals. In addition, SPASA NSW has:-

Chapter Meetings offer regional members a unique local forum to express their views and needs. Chapter Meetings are held quarterly in the Australian Capital Territory, Northern Rivers, Newcastle, and Central West regions.

The Awards give SPASA NSW members a chance to showcase their skills, creativity, innovation, sheer hard work and their spirit. All Members are listed on the SPASA website as well as membership packs that SPASA NSW sends out to consumers on an ongoing basis.

Our Media Liaison division ensures that SPASA and its members are often included in magazine stories, newspaper editorial, radio, television, and other promotional and awareness activities which are consumer focussed.

Pool & Spa Essentials is the flagship annual magazine from the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of NSW. Pool & Spa Essentials is a vibrant, quality lifestyle magazine especially designed for consumers considering or renovating a pool/spa; current pool/spa owners and those wanting to enhance their outdoor home environment.

The magazine is distributed via our website, selected newsagencies, lifestyle stores, outdoor furniture stores, doctors and dental surgeries, hair & beauty salons, coffee shops, as well as other places of business and avenues.

SPASA NSW has set up a member’s initiative with Westpac Bank to assist them with banking solutions at discounted rates. This initiative provides members with significant savings not otherwise available to members of the public.

SPASA NSW has forged business alliances with organisations such as St John Ambulance, KIDSAFE, Savewater Alliance, Smart Approved Watermark to name a few.

These alliances provide enormous exposure for SPASA NSW and its members via a multitude of cross promotion and other sales and marketing opportunities.
